Our training strictly follows the standards set by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST), ORS 181A, and OAR 259-060.

Any unsafe act may result in immediate removal from training.

6. Drug and Alcohol Prohibition
​
Participation in training while impaired by alcohol, cannabis, illegal drugs, or unapproved controlled substances is strictly prohibited. Violations may lead to removal from class and notification to DPSST.

7. Conflict of Interest Policy

SW Security Training LLC takes conflicts of interest seriously and upholds full transparency in all business relationships.

7.1 Public Employment Disclosure
​
The owner of SW Security Training LLC is a full-time public employee. To prevent conflicts of interest or the appearance of impropriety:

Government time, property, or resources are not used for business purposes

No public position is used to influence, benefit, or give preferential treatment to SW Security Training LLC

All training contracts, pricing, and agreements with public agencies follow fair-market practices and are fully transparent

Any partnership or contract with a public entity is disclosed to the relevant agency to ensure compliance with state ethics standards (e.g., ORS Chapter 244)

9. Instructor Responsibilities

All instructors must:

Maintain secure handling of testing materials and rosters

Report safety concerns or rule violations promptly

10. Mandatory Reporting

In accordance with OAR 259-060-0300 and related rules, instructors may be required to report:

11. Policy Violations
​
Violations of this Ethics & Conduct Policy may result in:

Removal from class

Failure of course

Denial of training certificate

Reporting to DPSST

Restriction from future classes

Enforcement depends on the seriousness of the violation and its impact on safety.
